Okan is a sustainably built, eco-friendly center intentionally set off the beaten path, inviting the land itself to become part of your healing. The open-air design reduces the need for air conditioning keeping guests connected to nature while minimizing environmental impact.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • We offer a list of chefs, transportation options, massage and other therapy recommendations, and information for nearby destinations to choose from for your retreat. We support with on-site needs as well.

  • The cost to book Okan is $500/night USD. Deposit of 25% for 7 nights or more is due at contract signing. For less than 7 nights a 50% deposit is due at signing. General payment schedule is every other month with the total to be paid in full 30 days prior to arrival.

  • In the event the Client wishes to change the date of the event, Okan will make a diligent effort to transfer reservations to support the new date, assuming the date is available. We understand that sometimes it is necessary to cancel a reservation. In the event of a cancellation, all payments received are non-refundable. The full cancellation policy is detailed in the contract.

  • No. At this time we do not allow plant medicine ceremonies at Okan.

  • We are located in the small town of Puerto Morelos in the Yucatan Peninsula just 30 minutes from the Cancun International airport.

  • We are 5 km to the Puerto Morelos beach, 30 minutes to Cancun beaches and the ferry to Isla Mujeres, 45 minutes to Playa del Carmen and the ferry to Cozumel, and 1.5 hours to Tulum. We are 2.5 hours to Chichen Itza. We are very close to many beautiful cenotes.
